Celebrating Independence Day with Underprivileged Children

Antarmanh supported NGO schools – Radiant Kids, Gurukool Kids, and the Blind School – came together to celebrate India's 71st Independence Day with great enthusiasm. Cultural events were organised at each school, showcasing the talents and patriotism of the students.

Captain Chandan Lal Special Middle School for the Blind: Needs Assessment and Support

Antarmanh visited Captain Chandan Lal Special Middle School for the Blind in Gurugram to assess their needs. This residential school caters to visually impaired children aged 5 to 15, providing education up to grade 8. While the school boasts a Braille library and specialized computer software, they require additional resources. Antarmanh addressed the immediate need for sports equipment and provided a special meal for the students on Independence Day. Additionally, Dr. Himanshu, an Occupational Therapist, visited the school to evaluate the children's specific requirements.

Empowering Women: Beautician Skill Development Program

Antarmanh's Beautician Skill Development Program empowers underprivileged girls by equipping them with job-ready skills. This 6-month program, provided a group of eight girls with the necessary knowledge and techniques to excel in the beauty industry. Antarmanh is committed to the girls long-term success. We are actively seeking placements for them in local salons and beauty establishments. Additionally, Antarmanh is pursuing funding to establish a community-managed beauty parlour run entirely by these program graduates.

Equipping Educators: Pragati School Teacher Training Program

Recognizing the vital role of teachers, Antarmanh conducted a full-day training program for Pragati School's staff. Held at Antarmanh's premises, the session focused on human behavior, soft skills, child development, and strategies for managing challenging behaviors. Interactive role-playing exercises and case studies reinforced the training concepts. The program's positive impact led to a request for student assessment, further supporting Pragati School.

Gender Sensitisation Workshop for Underprivileged Youth:
Antarmanh conducted a gender sensitisation workshop for underprivileged children residing near Smt. Inder Mohini Bhasin Charitable Trust in Sector 40, Gurugram. Dr. Seema, responding to a request from the Trust’s member, led the session. The workshop addressed crucial topics for young people, including good touch/bad touch, bullying prevention, and respecting individuality. Additionally, the session covered personal hygiene practices.
